With two layers of full, rustly skirts, lace-up bodice and 'reverse knot' back, your little one will feel like a true princess in the Fairytale Dress!
Versatile - a strappy summer dress, a gorgeous jumper over a top, a dramatic holiday dress, a base for a storybook character or princess costume - try a tulle or sparkle net layer! Layer over bloomers or leggings or wear it on its own. The reverse knot back allows for growing room.

Materials list:
• Light to midweight cotton fabric without directional print, 44” wide for *each* of overskirt and underskirt: sizes 12-18 months, 18-24 months and 2 years, 1 yard; all larger sizes including the Fairytale Tops, 1.5 yards. This is enough of each fabric to make a skirt and either the bodices or ties, see the cutting layouts. Net or tulle can be used for one of the layers, it must be at least 42” wide.
• 1 yard ribbon for lacing bodice, type and width of your choice
• (Optional if you choose not to use buttonholes: 6 grommets (8 for size 7/8 Top) and a grommet-setting tool; additional 2.5” x 9” piece of fabric for back loops)
• Regular 8.5” x 11 printer paper (or A4) and a printer for printing the patterns
Recommended sewing experience: advanced beginner due to buttonholes. Buttonholing makes the nicest finish, though I do include complete instructions for creating the dress with no buttonholes.
